breathe, dance, rest, repeat
You have to love dancing to stick to it. It gives you nothing back, no manuscripts to store away, no paintings to show on walls and maybe hang in museums, not poems to be printed and sold, nothing but that fleeting moment when you feel alive, It is not for unsteady souls. – Merce Cunningham
During any dance to which we surrender with joy,
the brain loses it’s controlling power,
and the heart takes up
the reins of the body.
– Paulo Coelho
Dancers testimonials
Such an amazing landscape [last night] and as ever wonderful community. – Ken
“To be alive in this beautiful, self- organizing universe - to participate in the dance of life with sense to perceive it, lungs to breathe it,
organs that draw nourishment from it -
is a wonder beyond words ”

Short Intro
Bernadeta Zyla
I am an advocate for dance as a creative, expressive practice and any practice which is liberating the body, heart and mind (cold water dipping, connection with nature, writing, painting, clowning etc) from the constant voice of not good enough, the inner critic etc
I trained with The school of Movement Medicine extensively (5 years +) which is preeminent in the field of conscious dance and attended many 5Rhythms, Soul Motion, Open Floor workshops. I’ve been teaching in the beautiful city of Edinburgh (and online during covid) for the last six years and have been invited to teach in Dumfries and Gallway and in Lewis and Harris.
